08/03/2013 | On March 4, 2013 the Hungarian Parliament adopted the proposal of the Hungarian Committee on Foreign Affairs in order to set up an International Development Framework Strategy until June 30, 2013. The Committee proposes to draft midterm goals in the field of international development according to the country’s membership of the OECD and the European Union, considering the possibilities of donor coordination specifically with the Visegrad4 countries. While European Union member states are trying to agree on the next seven-year budget, Central European NGOs already warn that the purposes and aims of the use of EU funds are just as important. In order to make sure that the Cohesion Policy funds of the Union serve sustainable development, the consideration of a wide range of aspects is inevitable; this requires the cooperation of decision-makers and all stakeholders from the early stages of programming. Visit to the Foreign Ministry
